• Analgesic and antipyretic action.
• It is more active on cyclo-oxygenase enzyme in brain.
Analgesic action: raises the pain threshold and produces analgesic effect.
Antipyretic action: lowers fever by direct action on the thermoregulatory centre in the Hypothalamus block the effects of endogenous pyrogen.
Domperidone
Potent dopamine receptor antagonist.
Acts centrally and blocks the Dopamine receptor in the Chemoreceptor trigger zone and produces Antiemetic effect.
Domperidone is used in migraine to relieve nausea and vomiting.
Shortens the duration of a migraine attack and reduce headache.
